Variation is like the spice of life! Imagine if everyone looked the same, acted the same, and had the same abilities. Boring, right? Darwin said that for natural selection to work, there has to be variation within a population. Some individuals have to be more "fit" (No, not gym fit! We mean better suited to their environment) so they can survive and have babies.

Real-world example 🌍

Think of a group of finches with different beak sizes. If their food source changes to hard seeds, birds with stronger beaks will be able to crack 'em open, survive, and pass on their strong-beak genes. Those with weaker beaks? Sorry, they're not going to make it. 😢
