	<li>Think of a herd of cows. If most of them are protected against a wolf (thanks to a superhero cape or something), then the whole herd is generally safe even if a few don&#39;t have capes.</li>
	<li>In human terms, herd immunity is when many in a population are immune to a disease (either because they had it before or got vaccinated), making it hard for the illness to spread.</li>
	<li>Picture this: The virus is trying to play &#39;tag&#39;, but keeps finding people it can&#39;t tag because they&#39;re &quot;it&quot; already!</li>

	<li>Surprise! No.</li>
	<li>Not every single person needs to be immune for herd immunity to kick in.</li>
	<li>Because of this, some smart people (epidemiologists) prefer calling it &quot;herd protection&quot;.</li>
</ul>

	<li>Protects the vulnerable: Some can&#39;t get vaccines due to weak immune systems. With herd immunity, they&#39;re less likely to get sick.</li>
	<li>Imagine you&#39;re allergic to rain and can&#39;t use an umbrella (bummer!). But if most people around you have BIG umbrellas, you&#39;ll stay dry even when it pours!</li>

	Here&#39;s a formula to figure out what % of people need to be immune for protection: (1- 1/R) &times; 100%

		<li>R = the average number of people one sick person can infect.</li>

	Let&rsquo;s break it down with a real-world example

	Measles Time! 🍓 (Because...measles...spots...strawberries...spots...get it?)

	<ul>
		<li>Measles is like that super popular kid at school. It&#39;s REALLY contagious. It has an R value of 15.</li>
		<li>Plug that into our formula: (1-1/15) x 100% = 93%</li>
		<li>So, 93% of people need to be vaccinated to create a measles shield!</li>

Herd immunity is like a protective bubble. Not everyone inside the bubble needs to be immune, but the more, the merrier (and safer!). And just like how a group hug protects everyone in the center, herd immunity protects the vulnerable ones among us.
