- Why Italy Helped? 🤔
- Anti-Communist/Socialist/Democratic Vibe: Mussolini was like, "Hey! Let's back up our Fascist buddies and counter the socialists!"
- Mediterranean Dreams: Imagine Italy wearing a crown 👑 in the Mediterranean, pushing Britain aside and saying, "It's MY time now!"
- Weaken France: Think of Spain as a buffer. A Fascist Spain would be like a massive wall around France, putting its colonies in North Africa under a squeeze.
- What Italy Sent📦
- Up to 75,000 troops (that's a LOT!)
- Cool planes, big tanks, shiny weapons. (Basically, they loaded up their Amazon cart)
- Their bombers had Spain’s cities on their radar! And their submarines, oh boy, lurking around like sharks, threatening supply ships.

- Ignored their membership of the Non-Intervention Committee (That's like joining a diet club and sneaking pizza on the side)

- Air & Naval Support: Historians think THIS was Italy's key move. Like, the ground troops were cool, but the real game-changers were in the air and water.
- Bombarding Madrid and blockading Republican supplies with their navy.
- Friendship Goals: Italy & Germany became BFFs because they both were meddling in Spain!

- Help from the Neighbors 🇵🇹
- 20,000 troops, border supplies, and they turned their place into a communication hub.
- Imagine your neighbor lending you all their gaming consoles when you're having a party.
- British Buddies 🇬🇧
- Portugal and Britain had a "BFF pact" from way back, so the Brits didn't want to mess with Portugal's support for the Nationalists.
