Dive into the core of data - central tendency! Think of it as the heartbeat of your data set.

<ul>
	<li>Mean</li>
	<li>Median</li>
	<li>Mod</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>What? Sum of all scores divided by the number of scores.</li>
	<li>Example: If the scores were 5, 8, and 10, the mean is (5+8+10)/3 = 7.67.</li>
	<li>⚠️ Warning! The mean can get tricked! Extreme values (outliers) can change the mean drastically. Think of a seesaw: one very heavy person on one end can tilt the whole thing!</li>
	<li>🤔 When to be cautious: If your data has wild values, like one person scoring 1000 in a class of 10s and 20s.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>What? The exact middle value when data is sorted in order.</li>
	<li>Example: In the values: 3, 5, 7, 12...40, 56, the middle falls between the seventh and eighth values. The average of 21 and 23 = 22.</li>
	<li>🙌 Great for: When your data has super highs or super lows (those sneaky outliers) that might make the mean unreliable.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>What? The number that shows up most often. It&#39;s the party guest that just won&rsquo;t leave!</li>
	<li>Example: In the set with 1, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6, 9, the modes are 3 and 6 because both appear thrice! That&#39;s right, a data set can have multiple modes!</li>
</ul>

Imagine: You and your friends are voting on your favorite ice cream flavors. If vanilla appears most frequently, it&#39;s the mode. If chocolate is the flavor smack in the middle of the sorted list, it&#39;s the median. The mean is like blending all the flavors together and getting an average taste.

In a perfectly shaped bell-curve (aka normal distribution):

	<li>The mean, median, and mode would all be at the peak!</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>Why it matters? Depending on how your data looks (its distribution), some measures might tell the story better.</li>
	<li>Guidelines
	<ul>
		<li>Interval/ratio data? All three measures are game. But be wary of those outliers!</li>
		<li>Ordinal data (ranked data)? Only median and mode make sense. Mean? Nah!</li>
		<li>Nominal data (categories)? Only the mode. It&rsquo;s like asking, &quot;Which flavor of ice cream did most people choose?&quot;</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
</ul>

📌 Takeaway: Data can tell different stories based on how it&#39;s presented. Knowing the central tendency helps in understanding the heart of the data. Always pick the right method for the most accurate story!
