Holla! Let&#39;s take a trip down the cognitive lane with Jean Piaget and his epic ideas. Imagine you&#39;re upgrading your smartphone: from a simple Nokia to a flashy iPhone 12 Pro Max. That&rsquo;s how our brains grow too! Let&rsquo;s explore this magic.

	<li>His special power? Understanding how kiddos think as they grow up.</li>
	<li>His cool name for this? &ldquo;Genetic epistemology&rdquo; (Epi-what-now? Think of it as a &#39;knowledge theory&#39;).</li>

	<li>Young Piaget once marked kiddos&#39; intelligence tests.</li>
	<li>Shocking find? Kids of certain ages ALWAYS made the same mistakes.</li>
	<li>Big realization: Kids think differently than adults and have stages of development.</li>
	<li>Fun Fact: His three kids were his guinea pigs for this research!</li>

	<li>Assimilation: Think of it as fitting new knowledge into our old ways of thinking. Like putting a new app into an old phone.

	<li>Key features:
	<ul>
		<li>Object Permanence: Realizing that your teddy still exists even when you can&#39;t see it.</li>
		<li>Egocentrism: Feeling like the world&#39;s only star! (Hint: Everyone doesn&#39;t always look at the world from your viewpoint).</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>&nbsp;Pre-operational Stage (2 - 7 years) 🧸</li>
	<li>Kids = Master of Symbols! 🎩
	<ul>
		<li>Example: A stick isn&#39;t a stick. It&#39;s a magical wand!</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>What&#39;s still tricky?
	<ul>
		<li>Centration: Focusing only on one part. Like, obsessing over the height of your Lego tower, not its width.</li>
		<li>Irreversibility: Not being able to mentally rewind actions.</li>
		<li>Conservation: A big word for knowing that quantity doesn&rsquo;t change just because appearance does.
		<ul>
			<li>Example: Water is the same amount in a tall glass and a short glass, even if it doesn&#39;t look like it!</li>
		</ul>
		</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>&nbsp;Concrete Operational Stage (7 - 11 years) 📘</li>
	<li>Kids become logical problem solvers. Sherlock Holmes in the making!
	<ul>
		<li>They get the idea of reversibility and conservation.</li>
		<li>But, still struggle with abstract thoughts.
		<ul>
			<li>Example: All dogs are animals, but not all animals are dogs!</li>
		</ul>
		</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>&nbsp;Formal Operational Stage (11 - 16 years) 🎓</li>
	<li>Teenagers, assemble! Now, they can think abstractly.
	<ul>
		<li>They develop metacognition: Brain-ception! (Thinking about how they think).</li>
		<li>Deductive reasoning becomes their superpower.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>Piaget&#39;s Test: Kids were shown a 3D mountain model. Could they think from a doll&#39;s perspective?
	<ul>
		<li>Spoiler: Younger kids couldn&#39;t.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Twist in the Tale: A study with Sesame Street&#39;s Grover showed maybe Piaget&#39;s task was too hard.

		<li>Younger kids could think from Grover&rsquo;s perspective when the task was simpler.</li>
	</ul>
