	<li>Gender = Social (how society thinks you should behave based on whether you&#39;re male or female)</li>

Example: A newborn baby might have male biology, but if society starts giving him dolls and dresses, his gender role becomes influenced by those societal expectations.

	<li>Gender Identity: How you see yourself - male, female, or something else entirely!</li>
	<li>Doesn&#39;t always match the sex assigned at birth. Think of it like a personal compass &ndash; pointing to who you feel you truly are!</li>
</ul>

Real-World Example: In India, besides male and female, there&#39;s an official third gender: transgender.

<ul>
	<li>Some brainy people think as early as 18 months! 😲</li>
	<li>Most agree that by age 3, our core gender identity is pretty solid.</li>
	<li>It&rsquo;s like setting jelly. Once it&rsquo;s set, reshaping it is super tricky!</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>Team Biology: It&rsquo;s in our genes and hormones.</li>
	<li>Team Society: It&#39;s all about learning from our surroundings and societal expectations. Culture plays a HUGE role!</li>
</ul>

Example: If you grow up in a society that values strong, silent males, you might feel pressure to conform to that ideal.

	<li>Team Cognitive: It&rsquo;s about how our brain processes information. Once we get an idea about gender (gender schema), we see everything through that lens.</li>
</ul>

Think: It&#39;s like wearing rose-colored glasses! You see the world tinted in that color.

<ul>
	<li>Nowadays, 20% of people worldwide identify as neither male nor female.</li>
	<li>Nepal: First country to put a third gender in its constitution (2008).</li>
	<li>Australia: Introduced &quot;X&quot; for gender in passports (2011). So it&#39;s not just &ldquo;M&rdquo; or &ldquo;F&rdquo; anymore!</li>
	<li>India: Big step in 2014! Introduced a third gender category and gave transgender people legal rights in education and jobs.</li>
</ul>

Imagine: Going to India and seeing a visa form with three gender options! 🤯
