What is kinetics? 🤔

  • Kinetics is the superhero behind understanding the forces that make stuff move!
  • There are two main types:
    • Linear Kinetics - Deals with movements in a straight line (like running a 100m sprint! 🏃).
    • Angular Kinetics - Focuses on movement around an axis (think pirouetting ballerinas! 🩰).

Force more than a push or pull 💪🌌

  • Basic Definition: A push or pull.
  • Advanced Look: It's the chat or interaction between two things. Sometimes they touch (like your hand trying to slide due to sweaty palms - thanks, friction!), and sometimes they don't (like when you drop your ice cream because gravity is heartless 😭).

Newton & the apple 🍎🌍

  • Back in 1687, Sir Isaac Newton dropped some serious knowledge.
  • Thanks to pals like Galileo and Kepler, he figured out:
    • There's a magnetic-like force between objects.
    • This force is linked to their mass (how much stuff is in them) and weakens as you increase the distance between them.
  • This force isn't just about planets circling the sun; it's why we stay on the ground instead of floating away!
