	<li>Every human cell with a nucleus contains these thread-like structures.</li>
	<li>Think of a chromosome as a &quot;package&quot; filled with coiled up DNA.</li>
</ul>

🎈Fun Fact: DNA looks like a twisted ladder called a double helix! Imagine climbing up that in your favorite sneakers.

	<li>It&#39;s a super long code made up of chemical bases:
	<ul>
		<li>A = Adenine</li>
		<li>G = Guanine</li>
		<li>C = Cytosine</li>
		<li>T = Thymine</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>These bases pair up, like the best dance partners ever.</li>
	<li>The base pairs are like the steps on our ladder (the double helix).</li>
</ul>

🍔 Food for Thought: If DNA was a book, it&#39;d have about 3 billion letters! That&#39;s one thick novel.

<ul>
	<li>Our 3 billion base &quot;book&quot; is divided into 23 &quot;chapters&quot; or chromosomes.</li>
	<li>Each chromosome is there twice (except for special ones in sex cells).</li>
	<li>We&#39;ve got 23 pairs, one from mom and one from dad.</li>
	<li>Both code for the same features (like your cute nose or your epic ability to dance) but might be a tad different.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>If DNA&#39;s our book and chromosomes are our chapters, genes are the words!</li>
	<li>They are specific units that code for traits, like your eye color or whether you can roll your tongue.</li>
	<li>Humans have about 20,000 genes. That&#39;s a lot of unique traits!</li>
</ul>

🎈Fun Fact: It&#39;s like spelling the same word twice. Once how mom spells it, and once how dad does. This double spelling decides how the trait shows up!

<ul>
	<li>Alleles are like different versions or &quot;spellings&quot; of a gene.</li>
	<li>They can be dominant (like the class clown) or recessive (the shy one in the corner).</li>
	<li>Traits from recessive alleles only show up if both mom and dad give you that version. For dominant traits, you only need one.</li>
</ul>

🍫 Sweet Example: Eye color! If the gene for brown eyes (dominant) is like a chocolate bar, and blue eyes (recessive) is like a blueberry, you&#39;ll only get blueberry eyes if both your genes are all about those blueberries. Any chocolate in the mix, and boom, chocolate eyes!

<ul>
	<li>Genotype = The genetic &quot;blueprint&quot; in your DNA.</li>
	<li>Phenotype = How the blueprint actually looks and acts out in the real world.</li>
</ul>

🏠 House Analogy: If genotype is the blueprint of a house, phenotype is the built house with its colors, doors, windows, and even the garden gnome in front!
