🌎 Species Distribution: Where a species hangs out on Earth!

	<li>Picture a map. Now imagine putting stickers on all the places your favorite species lives. That&#39;s a distribution map! 📍</li>

	Abiotic Factors = non-living things that can affect where species live.

	<ul>
		<li>For plants, these include:

		<ul>
			<li>Temperature 🌡</li>
			<li>Water availability 💧</li>
			<li>Light intensity ☀</li>
			<li>Soil pH (is it acid or alkaline?)</li>
			<li>Soil salinity (how salty is the soil?)</li>
			<li>Available mineral nutrients 🌱</li>
		</ul>
		</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>
	Range of Tolerance: Every plant&#39;s individual comfort zone for each abiotic factor.

	<ul>
		<li>If one factor is out of its comfort range, the plant won&#39;t grow there.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>
	Real-World Examples:

	<ul>
		<li>Tropical plants be like: &quot;Frost? No thanks!&quot; ❄🌴 They can&#39;t handle the cold because they don&#39;t have built-in &quot;antifreeze&quot; like northern plants.</li>
		<li>Northern plants in the tropics: &quot;It&#39;s too hot, and I&#39;m sweating (transpiring) too much!&quot; 🌲☀ They&#39;re not built for hot, tropical weather.</li>
	</ul>

	Abiotic Factors:

		<li>Temperature &amp; water availability are BIG ones for animals.</li>
		<li>Extreme temperatures = &quot;Hey, you need special gear (adaptations) to live here!&quot;</li>

	Cool Adaptations:

	<ul>
		<li>Elephants 🐘: Those big ears aren&#39;t just for hearing! They have a network of blood vessels that help keep them cool in hot climates.</li>
		<li>Polar bears 🐻&zwj;❄️: &quot;Small ears squad!&quot; They have tiny ears to avoid losing precious body heat in the cold Arctic.</li>
		<li>Desert rats 🐀: Super-kidneys! They have adaptations to lose as little water as possible because the desert is one thirsty place!</li>

	Water Creatures: 🐠

	<ul>
		<li>Aquatic animals have a whole different set of challenges. Imagine living your whole life in a giant water tank!</li>
	</ul>

	Special Stages in Life:

		<li>Like salmon 🐟. They&#39;re super picky about where they lay their eggs. Only in fast-flowing streams that are just right in depth, have the perfect gravel size, and the right water pH!</li>

	Range of Tolerance:

		<li>Just like plants, animals have their own comfort zones based on their unique body hacks (adaptations).</li>
	</ul>

	<li>Every living thing, whether it&#39;s a plant or an animal, has its favorite spots on Earth. This is because of the non-living (abiotic) factors in those places. And just like us, each species has its own special comfort zone where they thrive best!</li>
