Hey future Biologists! 🌿 Let's dive into the super awesome world of water movement, concentration, and OSMOSIS. Trust me, it's cooler than it sounds. 😎

Water Molecule Shenanigans 🌊

What Happens with Water Molecules?

  • Water molecules are always moving. But they are so into each other (thanks to hydrogen bonds) that they don't drift away.
  • These bonds break and form continuously as the molecules move around.

🌟 Fun Fact: Think of water molecules as a tightly-knit group of friends at a party—they dance around, but always come back together!

Intermolecular Attractions 🧲

Solutes and Water - The Power Couple

  • When you add stuff like salt or sugar into water, they form strong attractions with water molecules.
  • This makes the water more viscous (thicker).

🛠 Real-World Example: Ever try making lemonade? When you add sugar, it takes a while to stir and dissolve because of these attractions!
