🌀 Overview: The cell cycle is like the "life story" of a cell – its journey from birth to division. This story has some truly captivating chapters!

Mitosis 🌟 - The Grand Division Ceremony! 📌

  • 🤔 What is it? Mitosis is where the cell's nucleus divides. It's followed by cytokinesis which splits the entire cell. Think of it like cutting a cake (nucleus) and then splitting the whole room (cell) in half.

  • 📜 Stages of Mitosis

    • Prophase - Imagine the cell is getting ready for a big ball and the chromosomes start to dress up and become visible.
    • Metaphase - The chromosomes line up in the middle, like celebrities on a red carpet!
    • Anaphase - Chromosomes are pulled apart, like dancers twirling away from each other.
    • Telophase - The cell gets ready to split into two separate rooms (cells).

Interphase ✨: Life Between Parties! 📌

  • 🤔 What is it? It's the chill time between two mitotic "parties." This is when the cell prepares and grows. It's like the cell's "me time."

  • 📜 Stages of Interphase

    • G1 (Gap 1) - Just after the mitosis party, the cell rests and grows. Imagine a single thread of a spider web – that's how each chromosome is at this stage, as one DNA molecule.
    • S phase - It's the cell's photo duplication time! DNA in the nucleus replicates, leading to two identical DNA strands. Picture these two strands holding hands with 'cohesin loops', ensuring they stick together till the next mitotic party.
    • G2 (Gap 2) - The DNA is doubled up (two DNA molecules or chromatids per chromosome). The cell gets ready for another round of mitosis, like preparing for the next big event.
