  • Why Middle Class?: They were the civil servants and industrial managers.
  • The Deal: "Help us, and we won't hassle you for what you did in the past."
  • Plot Twist!: Once they were no longer needed, they were persecuted. 😱

🌍 Real-world example: Imagine if your school needed student volunteers to help with a major event. They promise you extra credit and no homework for a week if you help out. But, once the event is over, not only do they not give you the perks but also put you on cleaning duty. Ouch!
