What's in a 'culture'?

Picture culture as an unseen glue that holds people together - it's a mix of behaviors, attitudes, and identities shared among a group.

It's like everyone in a school wearing a uniform or how you and your friends have your own inside jokes - that's culture!

Remember, culture can be as hard to pin down as a bar of soap in a bathtub - we all know it's there, but defining it can be slippery!

The origin story- culture's beginnings

Think of culture as humanity's greatest survival strategy. We humans are social animals (like wolves or dolphins!), and we need to belong.

Forming social groups, like a super cool high-school club or a team in a football match, helps us survive and thrive. Culture is the special sauce that makes these groups work.

Picture a group of people stranded on an island - they'll develop their unique culture, adapting to the climate, figuring out how to find food, and creating new social rules. That's culture in action!
