๐ŸŒ Who are uncontacted peoples?

Uncontacted peoples, sometimes referred to as 'lost' or 'isolated' tribes, are groups who live in voluntary isolation from the rest of the world. They're like a secret society, minus the drama! ๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Imagine a group living their own version of 'Survivor'! Unfortunately, there are only about 100 of these groups left in the world and their existence is under threat. ๐Ÿน๐ŸŒด

๐Ÿ“š Knowledge sharing - a boon or bane?

A popular argument is that we have a responsibility to share knowledge with these tribes that could improve their lives. It's like wanting to introduce a friend to the magic of smartphones when they've only ever known a rotary phone. Think of it like introducing your cat to a dog who hates cats. ๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ•
