🎈 What's lean production?

"Lean Production" (sometimes just called "lean") is like a magician's trick in the business world! It's all about making sure we're doing things efficiently by eliminating all the unnecessary "fluff" or waste in the production process. Imagine eating a juicy piece of steak without any fat - that's lean for you!

Fun Fact! πŸŽ‰: Lean production was born in Japan and was first introduced by Toyota, a car company! Vroom, vroom!

🌏 From japan to the world!

Even though the idea of cutting down on waste has been around since the early 1900s (Taylorist manufacturing, remember?), it was only in the late 20th century that people started to take a serious look into the concept. Now? It's not just for cars! Businesses from construction to retail and even government services (like schools and hospitals) are using the principles of lean production.

🎯 Starting point - what do the customers want?

For lean production to work its magic, it starts by looking at what the customers want. Maybe they're dreaming of a phone with a long battery life, or perhaps they want super-fast delivery. Once we know that, we cut out any steps in the production process that don't help achieve those desires. It's like removing the extra scenes from a movie that don't make sense!
