Let's dive into the fascinating world of Environmental Value Systems (EVSs) and global warming!

Environmental value systems (evss) & views on climate change 🌐🌑️

We've got a heated debate going on about climate change, with people split into different camps based on their EVSs.

The climate change is real & human-made Crew 🏭🌑️

  • hese guys insist that human activities, especially burning fossil fuels, are increasing CO2 and other greenhouse gases, causing the planet to warm up.
  • They point at scientific data showing increasing CO2 levels and global temperatures, faster than any natural pace.
  • An example could be the direct relation between the industrial revolution and a significant spike in global temperatures. As industries flourished, so did carbon emissions, causing the temperature to rise!

The nature will sort it out Squad 🌍⏳

  • These folks argue that what we're seeing could just be short-term fluctuations, like the natural climate changes in the Earth's past. Remember the Ice Age?
  • They say that we don't have enough data (since we've only been collecting for a short time) and that our understanding of climate change is incomplete.
  • They refer to natural cycles like Milankovitch cycles (Earth's wobbly dance around the sun) that have caused climate changes in the past.
  • It's like blaming every hiccup in your Wi-Fi on the new smart fridge, while it might just be a temporary glitch!
