	<li>Especially in MEDCs (More Economically Developed Countries) and NICs (Newly Industrialized Countries), the love for cars and electronic goodies has skyrocketed.</li>
	<li>Crazy Stat Alert! MEDCs represent only 20% of people globally but munch through over half the world&rsquo;s resources! That&rsquo;s like a tiny mouse eating half the cheese at the party. 🐭🧀</li>

	<li>Picture the world as a massive shopping mall. Resources are mined and made into cool stuff. They&#39;re shipped, stocked, sold, and then...tossed away!</li>
	<li>Since the groovy 1960s, our shopping craze has only gotten crazier. And Mother Earth is feeling the strain! 🌍❤️</li>
	<li>Some even say we&#39;re reaching Earth&#39;s &quot;full house&quot; sign &mdash; its carrying capacity.</li>
</ul>

	<li>Ever heard of the &quot;Limits to Growth&quot; model? It&rsquo;s kinda gloomy! It believes we&#39;ll hit a population wall by 2100, and resources might just run out!</li>
	<li>But hold on, not everyone&#39;s on the doom and gloom train.</li>

	<li>Many bright sparks believe that tech can amp up Earth&#39;s carrying capacity.</li>
	<li>Example: We can grow plants in super-powered water with nutrients. That&rsquo;s called hydroponics. Ever fancied a garden in your living room without soil? Now&#39;s the time!</li>
	<li>And what about HYVs (High-yielding varieties) of plants? Imagine one wheat plant producing grains like a factory line!</li>
</ul>

	<li>Beware! Some solutions might have hidden costs.
	<ul>
		<li>Did you know? HEP (Hydro Electric Power) and nuclear power might seem green, but building them can burn tons of fossil fuels. It&#39;s like dieting by eating sugar-free chocolate...and then having five bars!</li>

	</li>
	<li>Sustainable development sounds fab, but it can break the bank. So, guess what? Many governments and oil tycoons pick the easier, cheaper route: keep drilling those fossils! 💰🦖</li>
	<li>And politicians? Many think long-term green investments might not make them the prom king or queen come election time.</li>
</ul>
