	<li>Dopamine is like the brain&#39;s little cheerleader. It&#39;s an excitatory neurotransmitter.</li>

		<li>🏆 Motivation: It pushes you to get stuff done.</li>
		<li>🎉 Reward &amp; Pleasure: It controls your brain&rsquo;s feel-good moments.</li>
		<li>😊 Emotion Regulation: Helps in handling your feels.</li>

	<li>Age average: 21 years.</li>
	<li>All were &quot;intensely in love&quot; (But nope, not with each other. Bummer!)</li>

This is where it gets fun! Imagine going on a scientific date... with a machine.

	<li>Tool: fMRI scanner (a fancy machine that captures brain activity).</li>
	<li>Procedure (lasting 720 seconds, or 12 romantic minutes!).
	<ul>
		<li>Swoon Over Boo (30s): Look at a pic of their beloved.</li>
		<li>Math Distraction (40s): Count backward from a given number.</li>
		<li>Neutral Buddy (30s): Look at a pic of a just-a-friend person.</li>
		<li>More Math (20s): Count backward again.</li>
		<li>Rinse and repeat! All these steps were done six times.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
</ul>

	<li>Seeing their loved one&#39;s pic lit up their brains in special areas!</li>
	<li>Highlighted Brain Areas
	<ul>
		<li>Ventral Tegmental Area (VTA): A brain part super rich in dopamine.</li>
		<li>Caudate Nucleus: Another dopamine-rich buddy.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>These areas form the dopaminergic pathway. Imagine it as a dopamine highway in your brain!</li>
</ul>

<ul>
	<li>When participants saw pics of their loved ones, their brain&#39;s dopamine highways (or the dopaminergic pathways) went on a joyride!</li>
	<li>This system is like the brain&#39;s reward system. So, when you&#39;re in love, your brain rewards you with feel-good vibes, thanks to dopamine.</li>
</ul>

Real-World Example 🌍🍫 Imagine you have a favorite chocolate. The very thought of it makes your mouth water and gives you a rush. Now, in this scenario:

	<li>The chocolate is the person you&#39;re in love with.</li>
	<li>The happy rush and the craving? That&#39;s dopamine at play in your brain.</li>
</ul>

In a nutshell, love might be a complex emotion, but at least part of its magic can be attributed to the dopamine cheerleader in our brain, making us feel all sorts of amazing! So the next time you&#39;re head over heels, remember, it&#39;s not just the heart, but the brain doing some fun somersaults too!
