What's system integration? 🤷‍♂️

  • Just like a soccer team has players each with a specific role (like a striker or a goalie), our bodies have systems. System integration is about how all these "players" (or systems) work together to win the "game" (or keep us alive and kicking).

Real-world example: Imagine trying to bake a cake. 🎂 You have ingredients like flour, eggs, sugar, etc. Each of these is a component, and how they come together, mix, and bake represents system integration!

Organisms & systems 🦓➡️🧬

  • All living things (from zebras to zucchinis) use multiple systems to do life stuff.
  • Inside these systems, there are smaller subsystems (like the little gears inside a watch) that help with the bigger function.

Real-world example: Think of a city 🌆. The transportation system has buses, trains, and taxis (subsystems) that all come together to move people around the city.

Teamwork makes the dream work 🤝

These systems and subsystems have to coordinate with each other. It's like a dance! They need to know when to move and how to work together.
