  • Biomass: This is the 'savings' – the accumulation of all those carbon compounds. It's like how you save your pocket money, plants save up carbon in their bodies!

Autotrophs vs. Heterotrophs - Who's Producing? 🌟

  • Autotrophs (like plants): They're the self-sufficient guys. They make their own food using sunlight. They're like chefs who grow their ingredients in their garden! These autotrophs are our primary producers.
  • Heterotrophs: These are the ones that rely on others for food. It's like us going to a restaurant instead of cooking.
