Intro

Hey there! Ever heard of a band called Rox? Managed by the cool Michel Mbappe? Sit tight, we've got a tale of music, leadership, and doing good for society! ๐ŸŽถ

Rox's journey

  • Managed by Michel Mbappe.
  • Michel had an autocratic leadership style. It means he's the main man making ALL the decisions.
    • ๐ŸŒ Real-world example: Imagine you're in a band, and only one person decides the song list, the dress code, even the snack breaks. No voting, just one person in charge.
  • Rox wasn’t just about music
    • They loved giving back, especially to local schools and non-profits.
    • Won lots of shiny trophies for corporate social responsibility (CSR).
    • Released a CD named "Action Not Words" and got mega famous.

The birth of inclusive music (IM) ๐ŸŽต

  • Michel was approached in June 2020.
  • Purpose? Help start a non-profit social enterprise, IM.
    • Goal: Support young and talented musicians from less wealthy families.
  • Michel got all excited, jotted down a business plan, but oops! Rox didn't have the cash to support IM fully.

Inclusive musicโ€™s mission

  • Officially opened in June 2021 with a motto of “Action not words”.
  • Offers?
    • Free lessons ๐ŸŽน
    • Borrowable musical instruments ๐ŸŽป
  • Leadership: The stage was set for Louis Marsaud, a popular ex-singer.
    • He chose a laissez-faire leadership style.
    • ๐ŸŒ Real-world example: Imagine an art class where the teacher just provides paint and canvas but lets you paint WHATEVER and HOWEVER you want. Freedom galore!
